About Sociora

Built by students, for student communities.

Sociora started from a simple observation: running a university society still means juggling forms, spreadsheets, group chats and official systems that do not talk to each other. We think that leaves too much operational risk on the committee and too little time for the actual activity.

Why this matters

Most student unions and societies already have official systems for finance, membership and room booking. What is often missing is the layer in between: a shared place where committees prepare, reviewers check, and everyone keeps a clear record without replacing those official systems.

Sociora is that preparation and coordination layer. We want to make it easier to hand over a society to next year's committee, easier to show why a decision was made, and easier for unions to support many societies at once.

Who is behind it

Sociora is being built by a small team led by Yiyang Han, a Computing student at Imperial College London, with help from AI-assisted tooling and feedback from student union officers and society committees. We are not a large company, which means we can iterate quickly and stay close to the people actually using the platform.
